At Definitions we have a fully experienced team in place ready to react to any maintenance emergency. We pride ourselves in having the ability to react and resolve issues on site and to ensure no repeat problems.


Working with you, we formulate an escalation procedure and only contact you immediately if the nature of the emergency is above a certain threshold and if the cost of the emergency repairs is greater than the preagreed budget. If the issue is fairly minor but still has to be corrected immediately then the work will be carried out within the agreed budget and you will be notified the next working day.

We also notify any emergency services or utilities company to ensure all parties are kept in the loop and the issue is resolved swiftly and safely.

Just one phone call and we will arrange for one of our Maintenance managers to meet with you, discuss your property and identify potential risks. With this free assesment our managers get to know you and your property and can clearly identify where issues are likely to occur, locate power and water hubs within the home and make all the nessecary notes prior to an emergency which can make all the difference.

1. If the emergency is to do with a Gas leak in the property then you must immediately follow the instructions below:

 

Gas emergency services

 

0800 111 999 

(This is a 24 hour emergency line).

If you smell gas, think you have a gas leak, or are worried that fumes containing carbon monoxide are escaping from a gas appliance, please call the free Gas Emergency Services emergency line immediately on 0800 111 999.

Also:

  • Open all doors and windows to ventilate the property.
  • Do not turn on/off any electrical switches.
  • Extinguish all naked flames, do not smoke, strike matches or do anything which could 
    cause ignition.
  • If there are any electrical security entry phones/locks, please open door manually.

  

2. If the emergency is to do with Electrics, locksmiths, plumbing or any other emergency maintenance issue then please contact us.
